How to Play Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei II
Quick start
Once you've decided on a name and abilities, fight weaker enemies around the shelter to collect equipment and magic coins for recovery. Some enemies will not befriend you if they are of a higher level than the protagonist, so avoid forced negotiations and repeat ``talk'' to opponents of the same level or lower. MAG will decrease quickly if you keep summoning 4 demons, so change the number of summons for exploration and boss use. Equipment doesn't work just by getting it, so don't forget to "Save" the item and save early at Checkman or in the computer room.
Controls
The field can be moved in 4 directions using the cross button. In the dungeon, move forward at the top, turn left and right, and turn back at the bottom. A: Command display/determination, message sending. B: Cancel/return, send message. AUTO combat can be interrupted by holding B, and autopilot movement can also be stopped by pressing B. For the title, select START/LOAD with the top/bottom or SELECT, and confirm with A or START. As for ability distribution, A adds it and B adds it back.
Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei II — About this game
"Digital Devil Story Megami Tensei II" is an RPG set in Tokyo in 2036, which has been devastated by the final war and the appearance of demons. The protagonists emerge from underground shelters and move between flat fields and first-person dungeons. You can not only fight the demons you encounter, but also negotiate with them using ``talk'' and summon up to 4 demons as companions. At the Hall of Evil, you can create new demons by combining 2 characters or 3 characters with conditions. Guns and swords, magic, the moon phase, GOOD/NEUTRAL/EVIL attributes, and magnetite management are involved in exploration and branching of the story, and it follows the conflict between humans, gods, and demons in a wider world than the previous work.
