How to Play DK Jungle Climber
Quick start
Press START on the title screen, choose a Start New Game barrel and select Adventure. Open the first stage with A. On the ground, press L and R together, then release to jump. Hold a nearby peg with one hand, watch the rotation and release towards the next peg. Keep grabbing and launching until you reach the Goal Gate.
Controls
L moves left and grips with the left hand; R moves right and grips with the right. Hold L on a peg to spin counterclockwise or R to spin clockwise, then release to launch in DK’s current direction. Press both together and release for a ground jump. A attacks in the air; START opens pause during a stage. Tap a stored Crystal Star to activate temporary invincibility and flight.
DK Jungle Climber — About this game
DK Jungle Climber builds its platforming around Donkey Kong’s hands. Hold a peg with one hand to rotate, release at the right angle to fly towards the next grip, or use both hands to steady the position. Islands contain several stages and a boss, with the Goal Gate marking a stage’s exit. Bananas supply extra lives, while jewels build Crystal Stars that briefly make DK invincible and able to fly. Diddy adds another way to reach distant enemies and objects when he joins the adventure. The challenge is to read the next set of pegs and choose a release angle before momentum carries you past a safe landing.
