How to Play Dough Boy
Quick start
Use the D-Pad to avoid enemy bullets, and press Direction + A to shoot the machine gun from the spot. Try Direction + B in front of obstacles, use clippers to break through barbed wire, and ladders to break through walls. Holding down A will place a TNT or mine, so once you place it, move away from the blast range immediately. Open the inventory screen with SELECT, check the remaining quantity, and then use explosives on barracks and important obstacles.
Controls
Move in 8 directions with the cross key. Fire the machine gun in the direction you are facing with direction key + A, and stop while shooting. Press and hold A to place TNT or mines. Directional key + B is used to cut barbed wire/hang a ladder on a wall. Collect it by holding down B next to the ladder you set up. START pauses and displays results, SELECT pauses and displays inventory. In the title, select the mode and START to start.
Dough Boy — About this game
"Dough Boy" is an undercover action game for the Famicom that takes place from a perspective overlooking the battlefield. In addition to defeating enemy soldiers with machine guns, you can also blow up drums and barracks with TNT, set mines, and cut barbed wire with clippers. Hang a ladder on the wall to create a path and use the limited equipment you have to reach the prisoner's rescue point. Distance management is important because the blast waves of explosives and missiles can also engulf you. In GAME B, missiles also fly from the edge of the screen, and in 2 PLAY, players take turns competing for the score.
