How to Play Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2
Quick start
Press A to leave the cargo box and follow the introductions aboard the Albatross. After the crash, return to the ship and meet Rory. Use the monster-pen computer to place the remaining starter in your active team, then follow Rory outside to learn how to scout a slime.
Controls
D-Pad: move/select. A: talk, investigate and confirm. B: cancel menus. X: main menu. L/R: rotate the camera or change windows; L+R: reset the camera. Y: more menu information or active/substitute lineup in battle. SELECT: sort lists. Touch: menus and map movement.
Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 — About this game
A journey to the Monster Scout Challenge goes wrong when the Albatross crashes on an unfamiliar island. From the damaged airship, you explore distinct regions, search for the passengers and recruit monsters through turn-based battles. Team building has a physical twist: large monsters occupy more than one of the three active slots, so a giant recruit changes the whole lineup. Reserve swaps and later synthesis offer further ways to adapt. The island’s roaming monsters and changing day and weather conditions make returning to an area useful for finding new partners.
