How to Play Dragon Spirit: The New Legend
Quick start
During the introductory stage, use B for bats and other airborne threats, then place A-button bombs over flashing ground enemies and eggs. Zawell blocks most frontal fire, so dodge his boomerang and shoot when his guard opens. Winning starts the full Blue Dragon route; losing deliberately provides the tougher, faster-firing Gold Dragon and fewer stages if you want an easier first run. Collect red and blue egg items quickly, prioritize firepower and extra heads, and use the smaller-body item before narrow terrain rather than in open areas.
Controls
D-pad: move the dragon in four directions. A: drop a bomb on the ground at the targeting marker. B: shoot fireballs forward at airborne enemies. START: begin, pause, or resume. SELECT: unused during normal play. Because aerial fire and ground bombs hit different planes, match the button to the enemy's height instead of firing only one weapon.

Dragon Spirit: The New Legend is a vertically scrolling fantasy shooter starring Lace, the son of the original hero Amru. After an introductory rematch with Zawell, Lace transforms into a dragon and pursues the demon Galda, who has kidnapped his twin sister Iris. The B button fires forward at airborne enemies, while A drops bombs onto ground targets and power-up eggs. Defeating the introduction boss opens the complete Blue Dragon campaign with the true ending; losing begins a shorter Gold Dragon route with more health and rapid fire. Extra heads, stronger shots, speed, size changes, temporary dragon forms, and screen-clearing effects create a constantly changing loadout.
