Quick start
Choose a handwriting lesson and examine its model before writing. Draw one character in the input area, submit it and compare the correction. Repeat a difficult shape slowly, then try an assessment to see how well you can write without a model.
Controls
Write with the stylus inside the touch-screen writing area. Follow the model's stroke direction and spacing, then select the displayed submit or correction controls. Lift between separate strokes; clear and retry when an accidental line changes the character.

Kondo wa Kanken Taisaku da yo! extends the Kakitori-kun idea into kanji-test preparation. Choose material matching your level instead of beginning with the hardest questions. Read the requested character or expression, write the answer in the DS input area and examine the correction before retrying. A character that is broadly recognizable may still have poorly balanced components, so work on one detail at a time. Alternate familiar examples with less certain ones to distinguish memory from handwriting errors. The cartridge's original study material belongs to its release era; its practice results do not promise a pass on a present-day examination.
