From the beginning, choose from five types of 40-card initial decks, mainly from the 6th edition, and follow the story to take on your first opponent, Mega-Kichi. When in doubt, the water/dark "Dominator" has draw, hand return, blocker, and removal, giving you plenty of leeway to make decisions in the early stages. Break 5 shields in order and attack the opponent player at the end to win. As you progress through the story, the 7th, 8th, and 9th cards will be released, so the trick is to keep your deck at 40 cards even when adding new cards, and to maintain the ratio of low cost, draw, removal, and winning potential.

Use the cross button to select menus, cards, and creatures. Decide with A, cancel with B. Press L to switch and check the battle zone, hand, mana zone, and graveyard, and press R to use spells, summon creatures, and skip/end phases. Click SELECT for card details, START for options and decline. Place up to one card into mana each turn, and use the card by satisfying the required civilization and cost. Before attacking, use SELECT to read the abilities, and consider the counterattack of shield trigger when deciding the order.
