How to Play Duke Nukem
Quick start
Choose a language with the D-pad and START, then press START for the main menu. Select New Game with A, choose difficulty with Left/Right and START, and enter your initials with Up/Down and Right before pressing START. In the prison escape, practise A jumps and B shooting, search for access cards and press Up at the matching barrier.
Controls
Left/Right moves. Up looks up, climbs ladders, pulls up from a ledge or uses an access card. Down looks down, crouches, descends ladders or drops from a hanging position. A jumps and B fires. SELECT changes weapons; START pauses. In menus use the D-pad and A. Save from the end-of-level screen by selecting a slot and confirming with A.
Duke Nukem — About this game
The route forward depends on exploration as well as shooting. Access cards open particular gates and transporters, so check corners and side areas instead of rushing past them. Weapons have separate ammunition supplies, while armour and health pickups help Duke survive. Vehicle sections add variety to the escape. At the end of a level, choose Continue to proceed, Save to record progress in a selected slot, or Quit to leave the game.
