How to Play Elebits: The Adventures of Kai and Zero
Quick start
After the opening conversation with G.G., head left for the collection tutorial. Shake the tree in the lower-left area to find Elebits and the Trace Laser. Mark exposed Elebits, tap Zero to collect them and charge at least 100 watts. Go through the northern gate to the village, then follow the mayor's map marker toward the Fire Omega.
Controls
Move Kai with the D-pad and use the stylus to inspect or manipulate objects. Tap exposed Elebits to stun/mark them, then tap Zero to gather them. The Trace Laser lets you mark several without lifting the stylus. The shoulder buttons call up the equipped Omega's power; use the touch screen to apply it to a target. Consult the upper map for routes and markers.
Elebits: The Adventures of Kai and Zero — About this game
Kai and Zero travel between strange worlds after a bus journey goes wrong. Progress depends on finding hidden Elebits and turning their energy into a way forward. Touching an Elebit marks it for capture, then Zero gathers it and charges the battery used for gates, moving platforms and other mechanisms. Rare Omega Elebits add abilities that solve environmental puzzles, such as breaking obstacles or moving metal objects. The upper screen shows the area map while exploration happens below, so the task is both to search nearby hiding places and work out which ability the terrain needs. Returning with a useful Omega can make a previously blocked route worth exploring again.
