How to Play Erunaaku no Zaihou
Quick start
Use the D-pad to move, and press A to throw your weapon in the direction you're facing. If there is a suspicious position such as under a rock or tree, press B to use the sacred stone, and if there is no reaction, move your position slightly and re-investigate. Press A after selecting to switch weapons. Don't just aim to annihilate your enemies; instead, check your sacred words and heart gauge.
Controls
Cross key: Move up/down/left/right. A: Attack with current weapon. B: Use the sacred stone to investigate the surroundings. Press Select then A: Switch weapons. Start: Pause. Cannot move diagonally.
Erunaaku no Zaihou — About this game
"Treasure of Elnark" is an action game for the Famicom in which the player investigates various ruins to rescue his best friend Joe who disappeared to South America. Simply defeating enemies will not open the exit; you will need to use sacred stones near rocks, trees, and pillars to find hidden words and stones. The mind moves between light and dark depending on the objects and spirits you pick up, and that state affects your physical strength and progression conditions, so it's a work that considers combat and exploration as having the same weight.
