How to Play F-117A Stealth Fighter
Quick start
Read the briefing, identify the primary target and begin with START. Use the D-pad to bank and change pitch; keep a safe altitude while following the navigation display. A fires the cannon and B launches a selected missile. Use SELECT+B to switch radar/map views, SELECT+Up/Down for throttle and SELECT+START for autopilot. Destroy the assigned target, conserve fuel and weapons, then navigate back to HOME BASE rather than ending the sortie in enemy territory.
Controls
D-pad controls flight. A fires the aircraft cannon; B launches a missile. SELECT opens the full map; START closes it. SELECT+B toggles map/radar, SELECT+Up/Down raises or lowers throttle, and SELECT+START toggles autopilot. Briefing: START begins, SELECT reviews and B returns. Mode menus use Up/Down and START. Cooperative play divides aircraft and weapons duties between two controllers.
F-117A Stealth Fighter — About this game
F-117A Stealth Fighter for the US NES compresses a MicroProse combat-flight simulation into a controller-driven cockpit. Missions span theatres including Libya, Israel, Korea and Russia, with multiple difficulty levels, one-player, cooperative and competitive modes. A sortie requires leaving home base, locating and destroying assigned ground or air targets, and returning safely. Radar exposure, altitude, speed, fuel, damage, cannon rounds and missiles all matter. Map, radar, autopilot and throttle use button combinations, while passwords preserve progress and unlock increasingly demanding secret missions.
