How to Play F-15 Strike Eagle

Quick start

Start on Airman difficulty, read the briefing and fly Libya. Left/Right rolls, Up dives and Down climbs. Hold A for cannon fire; select a missile in the SELECT menu and press B after lock-on. Choose chaff or flare there and deploy it with START when warned. On harder levels, hold SELECT with Up/Down to adjust throttle. Accurate objectives and conserved ammunition improve the promotion score.

Controls

D-pad Left/Right rolls, Up dives and Down climbs. A fires cannon continuously when held. B launches the selected missile after target lock. SELECT opens equipment/status; Left selects missiles, Right defense items and Up/Down cycles choices. START deploys the selected defense. On non-Airman difficulty SELECT+Up/Down changes throttle. Two-player W/SO: A cannon, B missile, START chaff, SELECT flare.

F-15 Strike Eagle — About this game

The German release of F-15 Strike Eagle is a cockpit combat-flight game for NES. Pitch, roll, heading, speed, fuel, ammunition and both engine-condition displays must be watched together. Sorties begin over Libya; later missions open only after successful objectives and enough score for promotion. Cannons handle close targets, missiles require lock-on, and chaff or flares answer different threats. One-player and two-player pilot/weapons-officer modes divide the same systems differently; no undocumented regional handling change is asserted.
