How to Play Family Trainer: Rai Rai Kyonshis

Quick start

Configure Family Trainer Side A before playing online, including center pads 6 and 7 and side pads 5 and 8. Register players by pressing 5+6, 6+7, or 7+8, then press controller A to begin. Most challenges treat those three pairs as left, center, and right. For jumping stages, release the active pair to leap and press the destination pair to register the landing; holding the input continuously will not complete the jump correctly.

Controls

Family Trainer Side A uses three main pairs: 5+6 for left, 6+7 for center, and 7+8 for right, with their exact action changing by mini-game. In the water game, releasing a pair jumps from that lane and pressing a pair lands in the chosen lane. Controller A starts after player registration, B removes the last registered player, and START pauses. The D-pad and SELECT are unused during setup and play.

Family Trainer: Rai Rai Kyonshis — About this game

Family Trainer: Rai Rai! Kyonshis: Baby Kyonshi no Amida Daiboken is a Japan-only physical action game based on the hopping-vampire characters. Baby Kyonshi becomes separated from his parents and follows an amidakuji, or ghost-leg, route through forest, water, temple, and shrine-style challenges. One to three players can take turns on a single Family Trainer mat, and each starting position follows a different route. Preserve health through the mini-games and reach one of three shuffled endings to discover whether the family is reunited.
