How to Play Famista '89 Kaimaku Ban!!

Quick start

First, select one game, and when attacking, use the D-pad to align the batter's position, press A to swing, and B to bunt. On defense, press A to pitch or throw the ball, and use the cross keys to specify the type of pitch and destination. When a runner comes out, use B to advance to base and A to return to base. In the first game, it will be easier to create a match by not relying only on fastballs, but by changing the pitches up, down, left, right, and A to take your opponent's timing off.

Controls

Batting: Move the batter with the D-pad, swing with A, and bunt with B. Pitching: Use the cross keys to adjust the pitcher's position and pitch, and press A to pitch. Top+A is a slow breaking ball, left and right+A is a curveball, and bottom+A is a fastball. Time/player change at START. Defense: Move the fielder with the cross keys, and throw the ball to each base with Direction + A (right = first base, top = second base, left = third base, bottom = home base). To run a base, press B to advance, press A to return to base, and specify the target base using direction.

Famista '89 Kaimaku Ban!! — About this game

"Famista '89 Opening Edition!!" is a part of the Famista series that allows you to play with team and player data based on the opening season of professional baseball in 1989. While inheriting the basic design that allows for fast-paced shifts between offense and defense and finely selecting batting, pitching, throwing, and base running with just a few buttons, it also features an editing element that allows you to adjust player data yourself. In a match, the shortcut to victory is to read the slowness and curve of pitches, bunt and advance on base to score points on offense, and instantly judge where to throw the ball on defense.
