How to Play Famista '91
Quick start
Choose your team and opponent in a regular match. For batting, move the batter up, down, left and right, and call A; for bunting, call B. Pitching can be slowed down or varied with direction + A. After hitting the ball, use direction +A to throw the ball to 1st to 3rd base or home base, and the runner moves to base with B and returns to base with A. You can take time with START and make pinch hitters or pitcher changes. Once you get used to the controls, practice your hitting timing in a home run competition.
Controls
Batting: Move the batter using the cross keys, swing with A, and bunt with B. Pitching: Move the pitcher with the cross keys and pitch with A. Top + A is a slow ball, left and right + A is a curve ball, and bottom + A is a fast ball. After preparing to check with B, throw the ball with direction +A. Defense: Direction + A to throw the ball to right = first base, top = second base, left = third base, bottom = home base. Base running: Advance to base with B, return to base with A, designate the runner by using direction. START is time/player change.
Famista '91 — About this game
"Famistar '91" is a Famicom baseball game based on the teams and players from 1991, where you can enjoy hitting, throwing, defending, and running at a fast pace. In addition to regular games, there will also be a home run competition where players compete for the distance and number of balls hit, as well as player swaps to change team composition. Pitchers use speed and curves, batters adjust their standing position and swing timing, and once on base, they are individually instructed to advance and return to base. Even in a short match, the flow changes greatly depending on pitching and decisions on pinch hitters and substitute pitches.
