How to Play Famista '93
Quick start
Start the game by deciding on your team and starting lineup. When attacking, use the cross keys to adjust the batter's position, press A to swing, and press B to bunt. When defending, use Direction + A to select the type of pitch, and after hitting the ball, use Direction + A to decide where to throw the ball. The runner advances with B and returns to base with A, so look at the ball and make a decision early. In the final stages of the game, we take time with START and make pinch hitters and pitcher changes while monitoring the batting order and fatigue.
Controls
Batting: Move the batter using the cross keys, swing with A, and bunt with B. Famista '93 — About this game
"Famicom '93" is the annual version of Famicom in the later years of the Famicom, reflecting the team composition and player data of the time. Combining side-view batting and pitching with top-down defense, you can select swings, bunts, pitch speed and change, destination of the ball, and advance or retreat of the runner with short operations of A, B, and the cross keys. It is a concise and tactical baseball game where the outcome is determined not by flashy maneuvers, but by reading the opponent's pitch, moving quickly to defensive positions, making decisions to stop forced advances, and pinch-hitting and pitching changes from the start.
