How to Play Bonk's Adventure
Quick start
Press Start and move with the D-pad. Tap A to jump; near a climbable wall, keep pressing A to bite upward. Press B for a headbutt, or press B in the air to spin. Rapid B presses slow Bonk’s fall and can lengthen a jump. Collect meat to power up, but watch the timer on stronger forms.
Controls
D-pad: walk, crouch, and move through menus; press Up at a boss elevator. A: jump and bite a climbable wall while beside it. B: headbutt on the ground or spin in midair; repeated midair presses slow descent and extend distance. Start: begin or pause the game. Select: choose the number of lives before starting.
Bonk's Adventure — About this game
Bonk’s Adventure is the North American NES version of the prehistoric platform game known in Japan as PC Genjin/FC Genjin. Bonk attacks with his oversized head, climbs certain walls by repeatedly biting them, and can spin in midair to strike enemies or extend a jump. Small and large meat power-ups raise his state to Bonk or Grand Bonk, changing the strength of his attacks until the effect expires. Stages mix normal platforming, hidden items, vertical climbs, and boss encounters on the journey to rescue Princess Za.
