How to Play Felix the Cat
Quick start
Press Start, move with the D-pad, and press A to jump. Pressing Up during a jump produces a higher jump. B uses the current Magic Bag attack; in swimming or flying sections the same buttons control movement and weapons for that vehicle. Gather Felix-head tokens and milk to upgrade the bag, because one hit lowers it by a stage.
Controls
D-pad: move left or right, crouch with Down, and steer vehicles; press Up while jumping for a higher jump. A: jump on land and control ascent or movement in swimming/flying areas. B: use the Magic Bag attack or current vehicle weapon. Start: start, continue, pause, or resume. Select: not assigned in the manual.
Felix the Cat — About this game
Felix the Cat (North American release) is an NES platform game built around the Magic Bag. Felix collects Felix-head tokens and milk to raise the bag through several power levels, gaining stronger attacks or vehicles suited to the current area. Taking damage drops the bag by one stage, so keeping a reserve of upgrades matters. Across nine worlds, the game shifts between walking, driving, swimming, boating, and flying before boss battles, while stars, hearts, and extra lives reward exploration.
