Choose Be A Pro, select a player and read the task. Follow positioning guidance, find space and request one sensible pass before attempting a scoring run.
Controls
Move with the D-pad and use the shown pass request, shot and defensive buttons for the selected player. Check the lower radar and touch tactics; set pieces follow their displayed stylus guidance.
FIFA Soccer 09 — About this game
FIFA Soccer 09's DS Be A Pro mode changes the question from controlling everyone to doing one player's job. Stay in useful space, call for a pass when a teammate has a route to you and contribute through movement, passing and tackles as well as shots. The position guidance helps when play moves away from your screen view. Start in a familiar role and read the match task before kick-off. A striker need not follow the ball into every defensive crowd; returning to the right area can create the next opportunity. Ordinary team matches remain another way to play.
