How to Play Final Fantasy IV
Quick start
After the Red Wings opening, follow the audience in Baron Castle and explore the rooms you can enter. Go to Cecil's room in the tower and examine the bed to rest. The next morning, leave with Kain and travel northwest to Mist Cave. Save on the world map before entering. At the Mist Dragon, stop attacking while it is mist and heal until its solid form returns.
Controls

Final Fantasy IV — About this game
Final Fantasy IV on DS retells Cecil's story with 3D characters, voiced scenes and a battle system built around filling action gauges. The party changes with the story, bringing specialized abilities that make protecting a healer or timing a powerful command part of each encounter. The Augment system later adds another layer of character customization by passing abilities to other members. Dungeon exploration also fills the lower-screen map, rewarding thorough travel. This version's battles call for attention to enemy behavior and resources, while Cecil's doubts about Baron's orders set the personal journey in motion.
