How to Play Fortress
Quick start
Press START through the introduction, press START again at the title screen, and choose one player for a first match. On the Game Options screen select Battle, Tournament or Blitz and a difficulty; Battle on Easy is the clearest introduction, then pick one of the four environments. At the opening, interlock falling pieces into solid walls and towers before the build timer expires. Your weapons fire automatically once battle begins, and the aim is to reach the displayed goal score before the opposing fortress does.
Controls
D-Pad Left/Right moves the falling tile, Down speeds its fall and Up drops it at maximum speed. A rotates clockwise and B rotates counter-clockwise. L destroys the top three rows when you need room. Hold R and use the D-Pad to scroll across the battlefield. START pauses or resumes; SELECT returns to the Main Options screen while paused. Menus use the D-Pad and START to confirm the displayed settings.
