How to Play Fossil Fighters
Quick start
After arriving on Vivosaur Island, visit the Fossil Center, then check in at the hotel as instructed. Return to Dr. Diggins in the center's back room for your first cleaning lesson. Reveal the fossil's outline with X-ray, remove outer rock carefully and use the drill near the bone. After reviving your first vivosaur, go to the stadium and speak to Tiffany to begin the license exam, which introduces cleaning requirements and battle commands.
Controls
D-pad moves; hold B while moving to run. A talks, checks and swings the pickax at dig sites. L/R activate sonar; X opens the menu, Y opens Dino Medals and START opens Save/Options outside cleaning. Choose hammer, drill or X-ray by touch and work on the lower screen; blow into the microphone or press L/R repeatedly to clear dust. Select battle commands and targets by touch. Quitting cleaning early through START counts as failure in this first game.
Fossil Fighters — About this game
Fossil Fighters connects collecting dinosaurs with the care needed to uncover them. Use sonar to locate buried rocks, then clean their fossils with a hammer and drill while avoiding damage. A cleaned head revives a vivosaur; body, arm and leg pieces strengthen it further, and better cleaning improves its potential. Battles use one Attack Zone, two Support Zones and an Escape Zone, so placing a creature changes how it contributes to the team. Support effects and shared Fossil Power make the whole formation important, rather than just the strongest attacker. Training on Vivosaur Island gradually opens new dig sites, opponents and opportunities to improve your collection.
