How to Play G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra
Quick start
Begin the solo campaign with the opening Heavy Duty assignment. Read the lower-screen objective, learn aiming and dodging against the first enemies, then destroy the required target before searching for the exit.
Controls
Use DS directional input to move and turn, and the indicated buttons for primary fire, secondary action, melee and dodging. Watch the lower map and objective updates. Trigger the special command after its gauge fills, and follow prompts for a turret or vehicle.

The DS Rise of Cobra uses an overhead combat view and a squad of selectable Joes with different statistics and weapons. Push through enemy territory, remove dangerous targets and follow sub-objectives such as destroying a computer or missile installation. The lower screen supplies a map and incoming mission information while the upper screen holds the action. Collect dropped tokens to build a special ability, and balance firing with positioning and dodging. Learn the opening assignment before trying a different character's reach or speed. Begin with the opening tutorial and practice the main interaction before pursuing optional rewards. Read the current objective, make one deliberate choice and watch its effect before repeating it. A short first session makes it easier to separate a missed instruction from a difficult challenge. Return to the available menu when you need to check progress or adjust your approach, then continue from the next clear objective.
