How to Play Galaxian
Quick start
Select the number of people in Select and start with Start. Avoid enemy bullets with left and right, and shoot with A or B. You won't be able to shoot the next bullet until it's gone, so rather than taking it off right below the formation, you can move ahead to the line of descent and hit it from close range. When the red guard and the boss come down together, you can get a high score by dropping the guard and then aiming at the boss.
Controls
D-pad left and right: Move the galaxy. A/B: Missile launch. Selection: 1/2 people selection. Start: Start/pause. The top and bottom are not used.
Galaxian — About this game
The Famicom version of ``Galaxian'' is a fixed-screen shooter where you move the galaxy at the bottom of the screen left and right and destroy alien formations in the sky with cosmic missiles. Enemies not only fly in formation, but also launch attacks that include zigzags, somersaults, and ramming. Since there can only be one bullet on the screen, it is more important to read the distance and the trajectory of the enemy than to shoot repeatedly. The more you defeat the boss while attacking with an escort, the higher the score will be, and the number of lives remaining will increase at 5000 points.
