How to Play Galf
Quick start
Press START, choose one player or two-player versus, then begin the first hole. Use the D-pad to select a club and aim while checking the wind indicator. Press A to start the power meter, press A again near the desired strength, and press once more in the accuracy zone. Use Left or Right before the swing to add curve when a direct line is blocked. Begin with conservative fairway shots, switch to a shorter club near the green, and use the putter once the ball reaches the putting surface.
Controls
D-pad: move through menus, choose a club, aim, and adjust curve or shot settings. A: confirm selections and operate the power/accuracy timing bar. B: cancel a menu choice or return to the previous setting. START: begin the round and pause/resume. SELECT: cycle score or course information where available. In versus play, players alternate shots with Controller 1.
Galf — About this game
Galf is the standalone NES adaptation of the deliberately misspelled golf minigame from Golf Story. This cartridge version expands the compact presentation into a nine-hole round and adds a two-player versus option. Before each shot, select a club, read the wind, adjust direction and curve, then use the lower timing bar to set power and accuracy. Landing in rough, sand, or water makes the next approach harder, so a safe fairway shot is often better than maximum distance. The goal follows traditional stroke play: finish every hole in as few shots as possible and beat the opponent or your own best total.
