Quick start
Learn the interface in Free Play before entering the elimination or map campaign. Select a discard with Left/Right and press A. Open declarations with B, choose with Up/Down, and confirm with A. The game can allow an invalid riichi or win declaration and penalize it as chombo, so verify a legal yaku. Use Open mode to study opponent hands before tackling Octopus Battle.

Gyuwambler Jiko Chūshinha 2 — About this game
Gyuwambler Jiko Chūshinha 2 expands the Famicom character-mahjong series to 24 opponents. Free matches and an elimination mode return, while Octopus Battle lets the player join the Octopus or anti-Octopus side and move pieces across a hexagonal map of Japan. Contact with an enemy triggers a mahjong game and the loser gives up a map icon. Draws are automatic; discards use the cursor, while calls, riichi, ron, and tsumo are chosen from a command window. The Japanese ROM assumes knowledge of riichi rules.
