How to Play Gyuwambler Jiko Chūshinha

Quick start

Press START, choose フリー対戦 with Up/Down, then press START. Move through the settings with Up/Down and toggle each with A; enable しどうしゃ for an adviser. Press START, choose three opponents with the D-pad and A, then choose an adviser if enabled. Answer はい at the confirmation. Your draws are automatic: select a discard with Left/Right and press A.

Controls

Left/Right selects a tile or calling combination; Up/Down selects menu commands. A confirms or discards. At a call/ron prompt, A lets play continue without calling. B opens commands such as chi, pon, kan, ron, tsumo and riichi; choose with Up/Down and execute with A. In free play, START or SELECT opens/closes the Open/Auto settings; A toggles them. SELECT switches opponent-selection lists between the two factions. An invalid win or a riichi declaration without a ready hand incurs a chombo penalty.

Gyuwambler Jiko Chūshinha — About this game

Gambler Jiko Chuushinha brings the manga's eccentric mahjong players to the Miss Choice parlor in Shimokitazawa. You control one seat at a four-player table, facing computer opponents drawn from a cast of 24 with distinct playing styles and luck. Free play lets you select three rivals, reveal their hands, watch the computer play your own hand, or enlist an adviser for discard suggestions. The team campaign pairs you with a partner to compete on combined scores and capture six districts. The elimination mode requires top-two finishes through 11 preliminary matches, followed by first place in both final half-games for the overall title. Passwords resume progress in the two longer modes.
