How to Play Ganbare Goemon Gaiden - Kieta Ougon Kiseru
Quick start
After starting, investigate the house and the townspeople, ask about the whereabouts of the golden kisser, and then set out on a journey with Ebisu Maru. Equip yourself with weapons and armor in town, and proceed to the field with recovery tools. Press A to open the command, and select ``Discuss'' in front of people and ``Investigate'' in suspicious places. In battle, you use normal attacks as a base, and use techniques against multiple enemies and bosses to quickly recover your allies when their health has decreased. When you arrive at a new town, it's safe to talk to all the residents and record your trip from the inn or special menu before heading to the next cave.
Controls
Cross button: Map movement, command and target selection. A button: Open command menu, speak/search, decide, send message. B button: Cancel, return to previous comrade's input in battle. START: Title or game start. In battle, you choose everyone's actions in order, and proceed to the next turn after the enemy and ally take action.

``Ganbare Goemon Gaiden Kieta Golden Kissel'' is the first full-fledged RPG in the series that depicts Goemon's journey to recover heirlooms stolen from his home. Goemon and Ebisumaru travel to towns, checkpoints, and caves throughout Japan, meeting unique friends such as Kobanneko and Yae-chan. While exploring, you gather clues from people's stories and investigating your surroundings, and when enemies appear, you move into turn-based combat where you choose each character's attacks, techniques, tools, and defenses. You can recover and update your equipment at inns and shops, and record your progress on Tabi Nikki. The key to progressing through long dungeons is to use enemy weaknesses and the techniques of each ally to quickly cure poison and death conditions.
