How to Play Ganbare Pennant Race!
Quick start
At first, you select a mode, and in the pennant race, decide on the team and number of games you want to play, then proceed to the opening match. Before pitching, the pitcher uses the cross button and A to determine the speed of the pitch, and after the pitcher uses the cross button and A again to adjust the trajectory. The batter uses the up and down arrow buttons to adjust the desired height and swings with A. After getting on base, use B to instruct the player to run the bases, and on defense, move the fielder to the ball and press the cross button and B when close to the ball to aim for a fine play. After the match, check your operating funds and prepare for the next match by avoiding unreasonable increases in annual salary or trades.

Ganbare Pennant Race! — About this game
“Good luck pennant race! ' is a baseball game for the Famicom that incorporates not only game control but also team management elements. In pennant races, teams use operating funds that increase or decrease depending on wins and losses to raise players' annual salaries and improve their strength through trades, all over a long season. You can control the speed and trajectory of the ball when pitching, the height of the bat when hitting, and you are also in charge of fielding and base running. When a hit-by-ball that meets the conditions develops into a brawl, there is also a unique development in which players face off against opposing players with punches and kicks. If the funds run out, the game will be over, so it is important to achieve both victory and solid reinforcement from the first match.
