Quick start
Choose a new story, read the first conversations and note the event password. For target practice, time the shot for the higher-value targets; use the minigame menu for another attempt. D-Pad: select. A/START: confirm; A advances text, B speeds text. SELECT unused. Targets: Left/Right move, A/B shoot. Sushi crane: B moves right, A down. Read each minigame’s rule before acting.

Step through three Maruko stories by choosing what to say, think or do, with six minigames punctuating the comedy. Shooting targets, taking sushi with a crane and remembering differences between pictures each demand a new rhythm. Conversation choices guide the story, while passwords after events help resume it later. Read the scene before advancing the dialogue, and practise a troublesome minigame directly from the title menu before returning to the episode.
