How to Play Dawn Will Come
Quick start
Check the group’s health and supplies before assigning jobs. Give an injured survivor time to rest, keep protection for the sleepers and send someone to search when the camp can bear the risk. Review each person’s task icon, then select Do Tasks by the fire. Use Move after considering its extra food cost and lost rest.
Controls
D-pad: navigate people and menu options. A: select/interact. B: back/cancel. Choose Rest, Guard or Search for each survivor, then Do Tasks at the campfire. Move changes location. Nightly saving is automatic.
Dawn Will Come — About this game
Assign every survivor to Rest, Guard or Search, then choose Do Tasks at the campfire to carry out the plan. Rest restores health, but sleepers without protection may be attacked. Guards protect the camp’s people and supplies, at the cost of facing fights themselves. Searching can bring food and new friends, though roaming creatures may hurt the searchers. The campfire’s Move option opens other locations, but travel uses extra food, prevents rest that day and leaves guards to fight off monsters. The game saves automatically each night; let the saving transition finish before closing the session.
