How to Play Death Track
Quick start
Choose an available solo race, enter a name and inspect the shop before taking the grid. Start with controlled steering to learn the road. Use SELECT to choose a defence and up to deploy it when it can affect the race. Treat unavailable circuit or multiplayer options as outside the current run.
Controls
Left/right: steer. Use the driving action buttons for acceleration and slowing down. SELECT cycles the defensive items; up deploys the selected defence. D-pad and A confirm menu selections. Check the selected item before pressing up during a race.
Death Track — About this game
Death Track mixes driving with a race-by-race choice of equipment. The Game Boy prototype presents a road from behind the car, with wireframe scenery and rival vehicles turning the course into a contest of position as well as speed. A shop offers engine upgrades and weapons, so the plan starts before reaching the grid. Select a defensive item and wait for a useful moment to deploy it instead of spending everything immediately. This preserved, unfinished build has no music or sound and includes incomplete circuits, giving the driving and combat an unusually bare presentation.
