Quick start
Move through the forest and use the interaction button to investigate. Follow the search for Squee and the troubled animal spirits. Use the hint button when you need direction, then revisit places with that clue in mind.

Deep Forest — About this game
An ordinary morning becomes a search for Squee and the cause of the forest’s nightmare. You will need your squirrel companion’s help to save the animal spirits, so look around and pay attention to what your interactions reveal. The creator gives separate controls for movement, interaction and hints. If you get stuck, use a hint before retracing your route and trying another approach. This entry covers the original Deep Forest v1.1 adventure by Kevin Trepanier, with a story inspired by Naomi Novik’s novel Uprooted. Its separately released second chapter is another journey.
