How to Play Donkey Kong
Quick start
Press START and choose a save file with the directional pad and A. Climb toward Pauline in the opening stages; later, locate both the key and its door before carrying it.
Controls
Left/Right: move. A: jump. START: pause. Up/Down: climb ladders. Stand on an object and press B to pick it up; press B again to throw it. Down+A: handstand; press A again for a handstand jump. Press the opposite direction and A while running for a backflip.

Mario chases Donkey Kong to rescue Pauline in an adventure that grows beyond the familiar arcade opening. Later stages ask you to carry a key to a locked door while solving compact platform puzzles. Handstands, backflips and thrown objects open routes that ordinary jumps cannot reach. Study ladders, switches and enemy paths before picking up the key, then plan a safe trip back to the exit.
