Quick start
Use the D-pad to choose a new game and START to begin. Practise A jumps and facing an enemy before pressing B. Gather coins, visit houses for clues and browse shop goods with the D-pad; B buys. Write down the password when a stage is cleared.
Controls
D-pad moves in four directions. A jumps; B attacks in the direction Goemon faces. START pauses/resumes; SELECT opens the belongings screen. In shops use D-pad to choose and B to buy. Password entry uses D-pad to choose characters, A to confirm and B to cancel.

Goemon sets out from Edo after receiving news that Ebisumaru has been kidnapped. Explore towns and dangerous roads from an overhead view, jumping obstacles, striking enemies and spending found money on useful supplies. Houses and noticeboards provide clues, while stage passwords let you resume the journey without carrying over your old money or equipment. Use the D-pad to choose a new game and START to begin.
