Monsters interrupt the exploration with rock-paper-scissors battles, bringing a second kind of decision to the route. Watch both the shape beneath your feet and the connection one square ahead before stepping toward the next gem.

Inspect the first room's exit and rotate the square you occupy until its opening connects to a neighbour. Walk through and plan the next turn before collecting a gem. In an encounter, select the rock-paper-scissors hand deliberately and read the outcome before returning to the route.
