How to Play Golf Classic
Quick start
Start with an amateur player. Use A and the D-pad to set a safe target, then confirm club and spin. Hold A to draw back, release to swing and press A again at impact. Try a controlled fairway shot before aiming over a hazard.
Controls
D-pad: aim, choose club and set spin. A: confirm; hold for backswing, release to swing and press again for contact. Putting uses hold and release. B: return to the previous selection. START: music toggle and current password.
Golf Classic — About this game
Golf Classic turns an eighteen-hole round into a sequence of decisions about direction, club, spin and the moment of contact. The automatic caddie suggests a club, but wind and the ball's resting place can make the obvious distance misleading. Set a safe landing area, then hold A for the backswing, release it to swing and press again to time the strike. A mistimed contact bends the shot, so the longest possible drive is not always the most useful one. Stroke and match play give the same course a different scoring pressure.
