How to Play HAL Wrestling
Quick start
Choose a single match and a wrestler, then press START. Practise distance and getting up with B; try A for a pin only after the opponent has taken damage. D-Pad: move/select; Up at a corner climbs the turnbuckle, Down comes down. A: confirm or pin a downed opponent. B: cancel; mash when down to rise. START: start match. SELECT: pause. Other moves depend on wrestler and position.

Choose from eight wrestlers and work towards a fall through strikes, throws and holds rather than expecting a fresh opponent to stay down immediately. Single matches use a best-of-three-falls contest, while the four-on-four elimination option makes the order of your team matter. Move into position, use the wrestler’s available techniques and cover a weakened opponent with A. If you are knocked down, work B to get back up; SELECT pauses the action when you need to regroup.
