Quick start
Choose one player, VS Play, a goalie and a skater. Practise a pass to your partner before attempting a shot, then cover the centre as possession changes. D-Pad: skate and choose. A: pass with puck, special attack without it. B: shoot or punch. Goalie: A or B save, A+B dive. START: confirm/pause. SELECT unused.

Choose a skater and goalie for fast, rough hockey where passing space and forceful challenges matter more than penalties. With the puck, look for a teammate or a shooting lane; without it, each skater has a special attack to interrupt the opposition. Take a single versus match to learn the rink, pursue the championship against progressively stronger teams or try the focused Shot Race. When play reaches your goal, change attention to the keeper and time a save rather than chasing the puck away from the net.
