Hon Shougi — About this game
Play shogi against the computer or another person, using captured pieces as reserves that can return to the board. Alongside regular matches, Hon Shougi offers a move-record mode for replaying and revisiting positions, plus board setup for handicaps and custom arrangements. A takeback menu lets you reconsider a line instead of beginning again. Study the king’s safety and the opponent’s pieces in hand before committing to an attractive capture. Press START, select the match mode and COMP, then choose who moves first. Point to a piece and A, choose its destination and A again. To drop a captured piece, press B before selecting a board piece and choose from your reserve.
