How to Play Klax
Quick start
Choose 1 PLAYER, press START and begin with Wave 1. Catch a tile by moving under its rail, then press A to drop it into the chosen column. Read the wave goal before building a horizontal or diagonal setup; use Up to return a tile when the paddle becomes crowded.
Controls
Left/right: move paddle. A: drop the top held tile. Up: throw a held tile back up the rails. Down: accelerate incoming tiles. START: start/pause/resume. Use D-pad or SELECT to choose the title mode.
Klax — About this game
The North American Mindscape edition presents Klax on a conveyor receding into the screen. Catch patterned tiles on a paddle and drop them into five columns to make matching groups of three horizontally, vertically or diagonally. The paddle and columns have limited capacity, and missed tiles fill a drop meter. Each wave asks for a specific goal, such as diagonals, points or a number of caught tiles. Throwing a tile back up the rails buys time to reorganise, while clever placements can trigger several matches as unsupported tiles fall. Choose 1 PLAYER, press START and begin with Wave 1.
