How to Play Koi wa Kakehiki
Quick start
Choose Easy and the cursor control layout. Use the D-Pad to select a line, then A/B to shift it. Trace your white route from upper left to lower right before moving, and check whether the same shift joins the rival’s black diagonal. Preserve a gap in that route while building yours.
Controls
Directional pad: choose a row or column in the cursor control layout. A / B: shift the selected line in either direction in the cursor layout.
Koi wa Kakehiki — About this game
Slide whole rows and columns of a black-and-white board to connect the boy in the upper-left corner with the girl opposite him. You and a rival take turns shifting the panels, so a promising white route can also open a dangerous black route across the other diagonal. Study both ends before committing a move and resist the temptation to watch only your own path. Easy gives more turns to work with; the harder settings shorten that allowance and make wasted moves costly. A single row can change several connections at once.
