How to Play Konchuu Hakase
Quick start
Choose New Game with START or A, name the boy and walk to a tree or grass. Use A to investigate, watch the first collecting area and leave with SELECT when ready to organise the menu. D-Pad: move the player or obstacles. A: confirm, talk/examine, inspect ahead, enter collecting area or fast-forward text. B: cancel, use shovel or turn. START: begin/open menu/place bait. SELECT: leave collecting area.

Konchuu Hakase — About this game
Search the outdoors for insects, raise the ones you catch and aim to win the highest class of judging competitions. The story begins with a sighting of the legendary Shinchuu, giving the collection a goal beyond the next ordinary catch. Examine trees and grass to enter a collecting area, then watch how the insect moves before swinging the net. Compare your growing encyclopedia with the specimens you can raise, and use the menu to organise the next trip rather than leaving every discovery unexamined.
