How to Play Lingo
Quick start
Choose a language you know and begin against the computer. Build a valid five-letter word around the supplied initial and submit with SELECT. Keep correct letters fixed and move misplaced ones in the next guess. Hold B with Left/Right to edit a letter position; START pauses if you need time to think.
Controls
D-pad moves around the letter board; A selects the highlighted letter. Hold B and press Left/Right to move the word’s editing position. SELECT submits the word without moving to an on-screen submit key. START pauses and resumes. Use the same selection controls for team and language menus.

Guess a five-letter word from its first letter before the timer expires. Each attempt marks letters that are correct or misplaced, giving the next guess a clearer shape. Fail to solve it in five tries and the rival team gets a turn. Winning a word also earns ball draws for a bingo-style card, so vocabulary and the chance of completing a line work together in the contest. Choose a language you know and begin against the computer.
