How to Play Mani 4 in 1 - Tetris + Alleyway + Yakuman + Tennis
Quick start
This four-game cartridge brings together separate adventures. Choose a title and follow its own rules and controls; each entry below describes that game rather than a shared mode.
Tetris: Choose 1-PLAYER, then A-TYPE and a low LEVEL. Fit pieces across the bottom and keep gaps accessible instead of rushing to drop them.
Alleyway: Press START, then A to launch. Follow the first rebound and use B for small positioning corrections.
Yakuman: Choose one player, set the rule switches with A and finish setup with START. Move across the hand to select a discard, confirm with A, then watch which commands become available. Use B to cancel an unwanted command before committing.
Tennis: Choose 1-PLAYER, confirm with START and select a low level. On your serve, press A to toss and A or B to strike.
Controls
Tetris: Left/Right: move the piece. Down: faster descent. A: rotate clockwise. B: rotate counterclockwise. START: pause. SELECT: toggle the next-piece preview.
Alleyway: Left/right: move the paddle. A: launch the ball; hold A while moving for high speed. Hold B while moving for low speed. START: start or pause; bonus stages cannot be paused.
Yakuman: D-pad: tile cursor/commands. A: discard/confirm/advance. B: cancel. During setup SELECT moves cursor down and START ends settings; during a hand START/SELECT are unused.
Tennis: D-pad: move and direct shots. A: toss the ball; A again for a fast serve, B for a slow serve. In rallies A makes a stroke or strong volley, B a lob or weak volley. START pauses.
Mani 4 in 1 - Tetris + Alleyway + Yakuman + Tennis — About this game
This four-game cartridge brings together separate adventures. Choose a title and follow its own rules and controls; each entry below describes that game rather than a shared mode.
Tetris: Fit falling pieces together to complete horizontal lines before the stack reaches the top. A-TYPE is an endurance game that grows faster as you clear lines; B-TYPE asks you to clear 25 lines with a chosen starting height. Watch the next-piece preview and leave room to rotate awkward shapes. A tidy stack gives you more options than a narrow tower full of gaps.
Alleyway: Alleyway turns a single paddle and ball into a test of positioning. Keep the ball in play while it breaks the blocks overhead, then clear the remaining pieces to advance. Moving formations and timed bonus rounds change the rhythm, so reading the next rebound matters as much as reacting quickly.
Watch the ball after it touches a wall or block, and move toward its likely landing point before it descends. Use the slower paddle setting for a small correction rather than overshooting beneath the ball.
Yakuman: Play a two-person mahjong duel against a computer opponent with a chosen personality, or connect another Game Boy for human competition. Select discards and calls from the tile row, build a scoring hand and balance an ambitious combination against the danger of feeding the rival’s win. Rule options let you adjust several familiar variations before the first deal. Choose one player, set the rule switches with A and finish setup with START. Move across the hand to select a discard, confirm with A, then watch which commands become available. Use B to cancel an unwanted command before committing.
Tennis: Tennis on Game Boy presents singles matches built around court position and shot selection. Choose a difficulty level, serve into the opposite service box, and alternate groundstrokes, volleys, lobs and smashes. A hard shot and a well-placed slower ball serve different purposes, especially when the opponent approaches the net.
Begin at a low level to learn the timing of the toss and racket swing. After returning the ball, move back toward a useful central position instead of standing where the last shot finished.
