How to Play Metal Masters
Quick start
Begin on Easy and compare the body and arm gauges. Move with left/right, use A for the right arm and B for the left, and press Up with either attack for an uppercut. Up/down changes depth lanes, so match the opponent’s lane before striking. At a distance A/B fires missiles; save credits for improvements after a win.
Controls
Left/Right: move. Up/Down: change between background and foreground lanes. A: right-arm attack; at range fire missile. B: left-arm attack; at range fire missile. A + B: quick two-arm combination. Up + A / B: uppercut toward the body of a standing opponent. Down: quickly press twice to crouch; add A/B for low attacks.
Metal Masters — About this game
Fight rival machines with a robot whose body and arms can be damaged separately, choosing attacks according to distance and the part you want to disable. A broken arm removes that close weapon, while destroying the body wins the fight. Alternate right and left strikes, duck to change the target and use missiles when the opponent is farther away. The tournament also leads into action sections where tanks, helicopters and a boss stand between you and parts of the Super Robot. Watch the individual gauges instead of treating the machine as one undivided health bar.
