How to Play Micro Machines
Quick start
Choose one player and Micro Machines Challenge. Pick a character with left/right and A, then START. Use the qualifying race to learn rotation-based steering, A acceleration and B braking before racing for a top-two finish.
Controls
Single-player controls: left/right rotate the vehicle, A accelerates, B brakes and then reverses when held after stopping. A+B fires a tank shell. START: pause. Two players sharing one Game Boy use different controls and automatic acceleration, as selected by that mode.

Tiny toy vehicles turn everyday settings into racecourses, with twenty-eight tracks across eight environments. The Challenge changes vehicles and courses as you finish first or second, building a collection of victories while limited chances punish poor results. Steering rotates the vehicle relative to its own nose, so a bend feels different depending on its heading. Head-to-head racing adds a separate contest of keeping ahead rather than simply following a normal circuit finish. Choose one player and Micro Machines Challenge.
