How to Play Monster Max
Quick start
Try the training mission first. Stand on an ability icon and press A or B to assign it to that button, then step away before using it. Keep the jump ability while learning block heights. Check START for the automap, and inspect a room from its doorway before crossing dangerous tiles.
Controls
D-pad moves on the isometric grid; its orientation can be changed in the control setup. On an item, A or B collects it and replaces the ability on that button; elsewhere the same button uses that ability. Hold the button assigned to jump for repeated jumps. START opens the automap.

A ban on music sends guitarist Max to the Mega Hero Academy, where progress depends on solving rooms of isometric puzzles. Stack blocks, cross dangerous floors and carry only two abilities at a time: even jumping occupies a slot. Complete missions and gather enough money to reach the next floor, choosing how to use each item before trading it for another. Try the training mission first.
