Monster Race builds an adventure around creatures competing on a track instead of trading blows. Catch and raise monsters, compare their favored terrain and special abilities, then assemble a team for the Very Best Cup. Mixing two creatures creates another candidate, but a strong runner on one surface can be a poor choice for the next part of a course. Short races make it possible to learn from a defeat and revise the team before trying the tournament again.
