Nekojara Monogatari follows a boy transformed into a cat who must recover Cat Land's stolen heirloom. Explore by choosing commands and direction arrows, talking to the inhabitants and inspecting the scene instead of merely walking past it. Enemy marks on the routes warn of battles, where weapons, magic and items offer different answers. The Nekopon stress gauge also affects performance: both extremes have drawbacks, so watching health alone is not enough when preparing the next journey from the plaza.
